Petrophysics, Inc., a petroleum exploration service company, has specialized in relating well log data to seismic surveys since 1974. Our service portfolio includes those listed to your left.

Our mission is to offer practical services for prospect evaluation. There is no substitute for sound basics in seismic interpretation, velocity control, attribute and reflection analysis. We regularly contribute to resolving these issues with our clients.

What we offer

Digital sonic log database (Vel-Base)

About 5,000 wells with digitized sonic, density, SP, gamma ray and resistivity curves, delivered as LAS files. Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama and Florida, onshore plus some offshore.

Velocity survey database

About 2,500 velocity surveys (check-shot time/depth data) across the U.S. Gulf Coast from the Florida panhandle to the Rio Grande Embayment of South Texas, onshore and offshore.

Custom well log digitizing

Send us your TIFF or PDF log images and we digitize the curves you need to LAS. Forty-plus years of experience.

Howard-Glasscock non-exclusive 2-D seismic survey

100 linear miles of 2-D Vibroseis data on the Eastern Shelf of the Permian Basin, West Texas.
